When women come to me after GLP-1 weight loss, they often share their worries in a quiet voice - like they’re the only one still anxious about food, still second-guessing every decision, still scared of doing it “wrong.”

So I want to share these insight and what makes the difference for these lovely ladies.

And you know what?
That’s all completely natural.
Because this isn’t just about what’s happening now. It’s a reflection of the journey they’ve been on.
Many have spent years - sometimes decades -caught in cycles of yo-yo dieting, slimming clubs, and a system that treats weight like a moral scorecard. The scale becomes the judge. And every so-called “failure” leaves a psychological scar.
It has led to feelings of shame and judgement
What makes this even harder?
Their bodies have been through it, too.
Before GLP-1s, their metabolism and hormones were battling an uphill struggle. Chronic stress released cortisol and adrenaline, only amplifying the anxiety and emotional eating patterns.
Over time, this becomes the norm -the only way they know how to “be” with food.
So even when the weight comes off… the fear doesn’t.
And that is the perfect storm for regaining all the weight they’ve lost.
Because the constant hyper-focus on calories in, calories out, weight and whether they can manage without their GLP-1 is a recipe for disaster. It’s not sustainable.
They think it’s their fault. And it’s not.
The ladies I work with have courage:
They want to overcome these fears and anxieties. Because they get in the way of enjoying life – each and every day.
They don’t want that pesky voice in their ear, judging their choices., reminding them what’s sensible.
Or the other one. The other one that says – "eat the whole packet, no one will know".
They’re not just chasing a smaller body. They’re building a bigger life.
They have a vision of how they want to feel.
But it’s clouded by fear of failure.
The “what if I put it all back on?” thoughts. The internal judgement.
So together, we start to rewrite their story:
